In terms of services, Isetan Salone will feature private lounges (30㎡) and large-sized fitting rooms on each floor. The aim is to create an environment in which visitors can relax while they are shopping. The interior design, undertaken by contemporary artist Hiroshi Sugimoto and architect Tomoyuki Sakakida, creates a new space that incorporates traditional Japanese elements.

With the establishment of this new store, Mitsukoshi Isetan seeks to fill an area it once had little presence in – Minato-ku, Tokyo and the surrounding commercial areas – and expand the points of contact with customers. In addition to existing customers, Mitsukoshi Isetan hopes to capture new shoppers who have not previously visited its department stores.
