Wielding state-of-the-art technology from Japan and the world to propose new lighting trends

Lighting designers Akari-Lisa Ishii and Motoko Ishii (MOTOKO ISHII LIGHTING DESIGN) propose new lighting trends based on the theme of light and happiness.

In addition to designing lighting equipment, they also introduce state-of-the-art technology from Japan and the world by appealing to interior professionals on the wonders and potential of light, including ways of using light in interior spaces and symbiosis with the environment. For three years, the pair has continued their efforts to create new lighting trends.

The event spaces is broadly separated into seven rooms, which comprise areas focusing on the relationship between human expression and light, lighting equipment that produces spectacular visual effects, colourful exhibits for the next generation produced through organic EI, and party scenes that combine lighting with suits and drinks, among others. Each room serves as a staging area supported by leading Japanese companies.

According to Motoko Ishii, “As visitors tour the rooms, I hope that they can experience spatial design and lifestyle situations, and think about how light can bring happiness to people.”
