Toko Shoji Co., Ltd.
It has been more than two years since Toko Shoji Co., Ltd. started full-scale exports to Europe and the U.S. following its participation at material exhibitions in Europe, including Premiere Vision. Focusing on influential European and American brands that are expanding their global businesses in both the menswear and womenswear sectors, it has now acquired a steady clientele of more than 30 brands. Although the company is still affected by currency issues, there is huge potential for capturing textile demand in Western markets, particularly for materials with creative designs.
For its autumn/winter 2018-19 collection, the company is offering about 150 marks of richly expressive jersey materials produced using a diverse range of technologies. The line-up includes 3D-mesh polyester, rippled wool-nylon material, cotton-silk in distressed denim style, polyester made with lame yarn that presents visible colour changes depending on the angle of light, and thick, fleece-lined stretched polyester material. It will also be exhibiting, for the first time, a printed fabric that has been subjected to TERAX processing. Developed by its group company, Toko Limy Co., Ltd., TERAX technology can provide both heating and cooling sensations to the wearer. The company aims to expand sales in the European and American markets through this new functional material.
