TAMURAKOMA Secures Trust through Continued Participation in Exhibitions
TAMURAKOMA & Co., Ltd. first participated in Premiere Vision (PV) Paris in 2011. Since then, it has continued to take part in the exhibition twice a year, including in PV Paris in September. It has secured the trust of buyers by consistently participating in the exhibitions, instead of just making “spot” appearances. As a result, the number of regular clients has increased, and the company has succeeded in expanding its customer base, particularly of luxury apparel brands from Europe.
Its booth name at PV Paris is “Premium Linen,” but its product offerings are not limited to just linen. While linen is the feature product for the spring and summer, it has created a rich variation with a focus on natural materials for autumn and winter. For 2017 autumn/winter, it has enhanced its line-up of double-facing fabrics made using linen as well as other top-quality materials, including wool, cashmere, silk, and hemp.
Recommended fabrics created with linen as the starting point include linen cashmere. This time, the company has also developed new fabrics using twisted yarn designs. It has expanded the range of designs, and enhanced the added value of the products.
With the aim of creating fabrics that cannot be obtained from other companies, TAMURAKOMA collaborates with small-scale textile manufacturers and weavers in Japan to create unique fabrics, and launches them at PV Paris.
According to the company, PV Paris is where global apparel companies come together. Japan has the ability to create truly beautiful and wonderful fabrics, and it is TAMURAKOMA’s desire that these fabrics be used on apparel around the world. With this in mind, the company is strengthening its fabric sales efforts in the United States as well. It has signed agreements with agents in New York and Los Angeles as it continues to develop the market for its products.
