Yagi Tsusho Offers a Line-up of Fabrics with a Powerful Impact
Yagi Tsusho Limited has a well-established reputation among brand businesses. It focuses on the European and American markets for its textile sales, and is furthening efforts to export made-in-Japan textiles. To make its strategic entry into the European market, the company has its sights set on MUNICH FABRIC START (MFS) in Germany, as well as Milano Unica (MU) in Italy. It has strengthened the appeal of its products for these preview exhibitions, and was very successful at MU in February, with more than 200 companies visiting its booth.
At the exhibitions held in Europe for the 2017/2018 autumn/winter collection, the company is participating following the previews of MFS and MU, the second edition of Milano Unica Prima, in July. At the second edition of Milano Unica Prima, the company received a good response, and was able to engage in in-depth business negotiations with 50 companies, most of which were leading Italian apparel labels. Its pillar products, including dotted prints and denim, were particularly popular, and the company will be enhancing its line-up for MU in September.
It has created a selection of fabrics with a powerful impact. There is a colourful variation of products; the dotted prints series includes a wool fabric while the denim line-up includes distressed denim with more dotted patterns.
The company’s denim has been so well received among buyers that it has become one of its best-known products. It has prepared a wide range of denim, from basic to salvaged, distressed, and designed fabrics.
The opal-processed (burn-out) fabric that was popular at MU in February is made using techniques originating in Kyoto. Opal processing has been applied to fabric bonded in three layers and finished with a design of three-dimensional flower patterns emerging from the top of the net to create an interesting effect.
